Yesterday, Hangzhou Customs released the latest statistics concerning Zhejiang s imports and exports. It is revealed that Zhejiang s exports and total foreign trade volume hit a record high successively in May, June and July. Analysts predict that growth in exports will slow down in the future.
According to the statistics, in the first seven months this year, Zhejiang s total foreign trade volume reached 141.46 billion dollars, up 39.9% year-on-year. Among it, exports surged to 100.25 billion dollars, up 40.6% year-on-year while imports accounted for 41.21 billion dollars, up 38.3% year-on-year. Among the major export commodities, the export of mechanical and electronic products rose 51.7% and that of high-tech products climbed 55.5%.
