On the morning of September 28, the fishery expo with the largest scale in recent ten years in our province opened in Keqiao, Shaoxing.
The theme of this Expo is ecology, safety, technology, and efficiency . A series of activities will be held such as exhibition of modern fishery construction, the selection of Two Top Ten Brands in Zhejiang fishery, the forum on the development of modern fishery. More than 300 exhibitors from Zhejiang province as well as clients from countries such as the U.S., Singapore, United Arab Emirates and Nigeria attended the exhibition.
Traditionally, Zhejiang is a province strong in fishery. Statistics indicate that the fishery output of 2009 in our province reached 4.987 million tons. The marine fishing industry and offshore fishing rank the first in China, and the capabilities of aquaculture and aquatic products processing take the lead in China.
