On the afternoon of September, 13th, Lu Zushan, Governor of Zhejiang Province and Deputy Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, met with Mr. Paul Breyne, Governor of West Flanders, Belgium and his delegation.
Lu Zushan extended a warm welcome to the guests and briefed them on how the province has tackled the impact of international financial crisis. Governor Lu told the guests that the province is now in a critical period of economic restructuring and the transformation of the mode of economic development. The Provincial Party Committee as well as the Provincial Government will, as always, actively promote the all-round cooperation between the two provinces. He believed that Governor Breyne s visit will lead to more extensive and higher-level cooperation between the two parties and more fruitful results will be achieved as a result.
Zhejiang Province and West Flanders established sister-province relationship in May, 2000. And this is Governor Breyne s seventh visit to Zhejiang. Today, Governor Breyne s delegation also held Business Day of Zhejiang-West Flanders and the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of sister-province relationship.
