Sister province relationship established between Port Said, Egypt, and Zhejiang Province

On September 27, the ceremony to sign a friendly relationship agreement between Port Said, Egypt, and Zhejiang Province was held in Port Said. Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress, and Mustafa Abdel-Latif, Governor of Port Said, represented the two provinces respectively to sign the agreement and delivered a speech.
Port Said is located in the Northeast of Egypt and is mainly composed of Port Said and Port Fouad, the former lying on the western side of the Suez Canal and the latter on the eastern side of the Canal. Port Said is economically developed and occupies an important position in Egypt. In 2002, Zhejiang Province started its friendly exchange with Port Said. This newly signed agreement would further deepen the friendly relationship between the two provinces.
