Over 100 private entrepreneurs from Zhejiang and Hong Kong assembled for the 1st Folk Business Cooperation -- Taiwan-Zhejiang-Hong Kong Forum in Taiwan on Sept. 24 with the representatives from Taiwan industry and business circles, discussing the new space for cooperation after the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) took effect along with the opportunities and challenges that enterprises from the three regions are confronted with in the process of economic transitions.
Jointly initiated by Zhejiang Private Enterprise Development League, the Chinese National Association of Industry and Commerce, Taiwan (CNAIC), Hong Kong sub-committee of World C.M. Unite Promoting Committee, the forum is meant to push the enterprises across the strait and in Hong Kong to work together against the world competition. The three parties signed in the forum the Letter of Intent on Framework Cooperation among Taiwan, Zhejiang and Hong Kong Enterprises and set up the Taiwan-Zhejiang- Hong Kong Folk Trade Cooperation Committee. The next year s forum is scheduled to open in Hangzhou.
