The 2nd China Yue Opera Art Festival, co-hosted by the National Culture Ministry and Zhejiang provincial government, jointly organized by the Provincial Culture Department, Ningbo municipal government and Shengzhou municipal government, will be held in Ningbo and Shengzhou from October 25 to November 28.
The opening ceremony of the art festival will be held in Ningbo Grand Theatre on the evening of October 25 with the theme of Yue 2010 . The closing ceremony and the art performance show entitled A Ceremonious Movement of Yue Opera will be staged in Shengzhou Gymnasium on November 28.
It is learned that 14 events and activities have been on the festival schedule, including the national exchange performances of excellent theatrical pieces of Yue Opera and the prize-awarding activities, a summit forum for developing Chinese Yue Opera, Yue Opera selections show performance meetings, Yue Opera performances on campuses, in communities, rural areas and enterprises.
