Three industrial design products finished by students from China Academy of Art emerged tops from thousands of products in the 2010 German-based international Red Dot Design Competition.
Zhang Junjie from China Academy of Art designed an intelligent tap faucet with the idea of energy conservation. The new type of integrated faucet forces people to turn off the tap when using liquid soap and avoids the unnecessary waste.
Zhang Yizhou, Tao Qian and Zhu Haitao co-designed a child-safe shower nozzle, catering to parents needs during the bath time. The newly designed shower nozzle can be put on the back of the parent s hand and the water will flow out from there, which can both reduce water pressure and inform parents of the water temperature for children s sake.
Liu Xiaoming, Xie Yancong and Zhou Zhou co-designed a handy beverage lid by changing the commonly used circular lid into a lid with a square top and circular base, which makes opening much easier.
Red Dot Design Award is crowned as Oscar in Industrial Design . Many of its winning products share the quality of showing tender care and love in the details.
