Zhao Hongzhu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People s Congress met with the delegation led by Shalom Simhom, Israeli Minister of Agriculture.
Zhao Hongzhu expressed his warm welcome to the delegates and introduced Zhejiang s economic and social development in recent years to them. He said the successful methods of developing agriculture in Israel are well worth studying. Zhejiang and Israel have made remarkable cooperation in introducing seedlings, agriculture irrigation, and personnel training, etc. The province is willing to open up new areas in agriculture for further cooperation, construct new carriers and accomplish new achievements so as to inject great power and vigor for a mutually beneficial cooperation and win-win situation.
Shalom Simhom appreciated Zhejiang s reception and expressed his will for further exchanges and communication between Zhejiang and Israel in agriculture development.
After the meeting, leaders on both sides witnessed the signing ceremony of developing breeding technique and building up international agricultural incubators by two companies from Zhejiang Transfar Group along with two Israeli enterprises.
