The 2010 China International Foodstuffs Trade Fair is to be held in Huangpu from November 5-7. About 3000 businesses from home and abroad will bring their best foodstuff to the fair held in Huangpu, southern China s famous town for foodstuff. The fair has been successfully held for 5 consecutive years with the aim of branding, internalization, and specialization.
Huangpu Town is China's domestic food industry demonstration base, China s famous township for preserved meat and foodstuff, China s agricultural product processing and pioneering base, and Guangdong s specialized township for food processing. Preserved meat and foodstuff characterizes the town s industry.
The annual foodstuff negotiation conference has become a highlight in international food processing industry and has improved Huangpu s preserved meat processing level as well. The conference plays an important role of attracting business and investment which perfected the upstream and downstream industrial chain in Huangpu and bred large numbers of competitive food processing enterprises.
At the moment, Huangpu has more than 300 food processing and supporting enterprises with an annual output value of about 3 billion Yuan. Among the 300 enterprises, about 200 engage in preserved meat processing with annual production value of 2 bilion Yuan accounting for 50% of the market share, which turned Huangpu into China s largest Cantonese-style preserved meat production base.
