"The successful holding of the Asian Para Games is of great significance to China." said H. E. Mr. Vafaev Ulugbek, head of Uzbekistan mission, in a meeting with Chen Yongzhi, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangdong Province.
H. E. Mr. Vafaev Ulugbek attended the closing ceremony of the Asian Para Games which concluded yesterday (Dec 19) and regarded it as a amazing and spectacular Games and extended his congratulations for Guangzhou's successful holding of the Games.
Chen Yongzhi, during the meeting ,also congratulated Uzbekistan on achieving good results in the past eight-day Games, adding that the Uzbekistan's attendance is great support to the Games. Chen said China and Uzbekistan have close relations in politicis, economy, culture and security exchange, he hoped the mutual visits between Guangdong and Uzbekistan would boost the economic cooperation of the two sides.
H. E. Mr. Vafaev Ulugbek showed his admiration in China's economy, culture and aerospace, adding China has great prospect in economic and social area with the successful holding of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games. He said the partnership between China and Uzbekistan have developed quickly. There are several Chinese enterprises or Chinese-funded enterprises in Uzbekistan. He hoped the friendship between the two sides can be further enhanced through mutual visits and cooperation.
