Fujian SBS clinched Friday their first victory of the new season as they beat Jilin Northeast Tigers 112-110 in overtime in a third-round match of the Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA).

Fujian improved their record to 1-2 while Jilin remained winless after three matches.

Zhao Tailong buried two free-throws with 12 seconds left in the game to put Fujian ahead for good before Dwyane Jones added another one for the win on road.

Fujian battled with one foreign player, Jones, as Chris Potter returned to the United States after he injured his knee in Wednesday's match.

Jones had 19 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists to turn a 20-point deficit to a victory.

The home team took the full advantage of the absence of Potter in the first half as they led 58-42 and extended it to 69-49 in the third quarter.

Fujian played a 23-10 run in the rest of the quarter to close the game on 79-72 before Lv Xiaoming had a big three-point play to take the game into overtime on 98-98.

It was still Jilin which led for most time of the overtime but Fujian kept their hope when Zhao, who had 25 points, made the winning two baskets.

David Young had 43 points and nine rebounds for Jilin.

Beijing Ducks won the second straight home match by beating Shandong Gold 108-97 when Steve Francis was still struggling for his form.

The former Houston Rockets guard was put on the court 3:51 minutes towards the end of the first half and had just two rebounds.

He fell on his first touch on the ball and traveled on his first attacking. He did not come back in the second half.

Randolph Morris had 37 points and 14 rebounds for Beijing.

In Friday other matches, Dongguan Marco Polo beat Shanxi Zhongyu 101-90, Xinjiang Guanghui beat Qingdao Doublestar 105-93, Guangdong Hongyuan beat Liaoning Hunters 95-90, Jiangsu Dragons beat Zhejiang Guangsha 105-89, Shanghai Sharks beat Foshan 105-95, and Bayi Fubang beat Zhejiang Cyclones 90-78.
