On October 28, Beijing Capital International Airport and Hongkong Airport signed the Memorandum of Beijing Capital International Airport and Hongkong International Airport Becoming Sister Airports (hereinafter referred to asthe Memorandum) to formally establish friendlycooperative relationship between two parties. The Director of CAAC, Li Jiaxiang, General Manager of CAH, Dong Zhiyi, secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CAH, Liu Yanbin, Deputy General Manager of CAH, Zhang Musheng, General Manager Zhuang Guanghui, and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of BCIA, and Chairman of AirportAuthorityHong Kong (AAHK), Zhang Jiandong, and the President of AAHK, Xu Hanzhong, attended the signing ceremony.
On the ceremony, the president of BCIA expressed that, both Hong Kong Airport and Capital Airport possess the world first grade hardware facilities, and have accumulated abundant airport operation and management experience, and it is conductive to exchange the experience of Hong Kong Airport on Internationalized operation and the experience of domestic operation of BCIA.
In the future, both parties should take this opportunity to strengthen the relationship and to share information, knowledge, advanced management experience, and service quality management system, and to seek development space and potential cooperation opportunities.

By the end of September, the passenger throughput of Capital Airport has exceeded 55.31 million. In the future, the Capital Airport will continue to speed up the pace of internationalization by means of establishing friendly cooperative relationship with first-grade international airports, making its due contribution to improving the level safe operation and service, and to enhancing the international position and influence of the Chinese airport industry in the world.
According to report, before becoming sister s airports, both airports have established a favourable communication mechanism for cooperation and exchange, and have forged profound friendship. Especially during the process of the transfer and operation of Terminal 3, both parties have put all of their wisdom and experience together to ensure the smooth operation of the world largest single building terminal, and make a great contribution to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
So far, BCIA has established friendly cooperative relationship with eight international airports such as Hong Kong Airport, Athens Airport, Singapore Changi Airport, Paris Airport Authority, Canada Vancouver Airport, Narita Airport of Japan, Hongkong Airport of Australia, and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport of Holland.
