CAS and National Research Center of France (CRNS) renewed the cooperative protocol for the Laboratory of France-China for Catalysis (LFCC) on 1 December in Beijing. Presided over by Prof. LI Can, Chinese director of LFCC, the signing ceremony was attended by high-level officials from the two sides.
Established in 2000, the joint lab is coordinated by the CAS Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and the Lyon Institute of Catalysis with the participation of 13 research bodies from the two countries. Over the eight years, the lab has scored encouraging progress in the fields of energy sources, environment and fine chemicals. In the future four years, it will dedicate to the studies of clean energy sources and environmental friendly catalysis.
