CFHI Successfully Forged the Largest Back Up Roll in China

On the 7th of April, CFHI successfully forged the largest back up roll for the mill in China, made a new record again in the production of similar products in China.

This mill roll is the key component for the 5 meters mill. Both its weight and the physical dimensions present great requirements for the forging equipment and forging technology. Under such circumstances, CFHI paid great attention to it and held the proof and demonstration meetings many times with relevant technicians and operators to argue repeatedly the technical parameters, the maintenance of the forging equipment, the allocation and use of the auxiliary tools for the assembly and so on during forging, , mapping up the emergency measurements.

At the same time, CFHI made many innovations boldly in the forging methods, thus ensuring the dimensions to meet the requirements for subsequent procedures.

The success of forging the 5 meters mill back up roll shows that the forging technology in CFHI for the super-large back up roll is becoming increasingly mature, and accumulates much precious experience for forging similar large-scale forge pieces.
