CFHI Exports the First Set of Large-scale Rolling Equipment

Yesterday at the dock of He Shang at the Da Lian port, a huge bulk over 400tons, after more than one hour of a series of highly difficult operations such as lifting and turning, was transported safely from the train to the transfer truck of the port. This part is the 5 meters plate mill stand that is manufactured for the YUNDAI steel company, South Korea. This is the first export large-scale rolling equipment in our country. And its transportation creates many firsts in China.

This $14.30 million USD project, 5 meters plate mill for YUNDAI steel company was singed in Nov.2007. The steel plates produced by this mill can be used for ship-building, long-distance transportation pipes. They can also be found in the use of thin plates for the auto-making because of its pliancy in design. It is reported that China is the sole country that is capable of manufacturing such 5 meters plate mill. This set of mill consists of two mill stands, each of which is cast by 720 tons of molten steel. The finished mill stand is 15.2m high, 4.67m wide and weighs 412.28 tons.

There are many tricky problems during the transportation process due to its over width and overweight. Zhongshi Transportation Company and the Da Lian Ruiqiao Jinde Transportation Co.Ltd made a new chapter in the transportation of the super-large equipment, which is the first in the history of the transportation in China.
