Material Preparation for Nuclear Plant Forgings Goes On Schedule

Since October, the production task of nuclear plants forgings has witnessed a sharp increase compared with the third quarter of this year, which at certain extent has brought difficulty for the production management. Therefore, the Production Planning Department and the Casting and Forging Company pays more attention to formulating countermeasures to guarantee an orderly sequence of forging production for nuclear plants.

From January to August, 80 pieces of steel ingots have been prepared for nuclear products with a total weight 145,14 tons. In September, the Production Planning Department adjusted the material preparation in according to the delivery date of some nuclear products. From September to November, 97 pieces of steel ingots have been prepared with a total weight 166,46 tons. Especially in October, 47 pieces have been made with a total weight 7,698 tons, accounting 44.19% of the total weight of steel ingots produced in that month.

The production task of nuclear forgings will be rather heavy from December to the beginning of the next year. The Production Planning Department and the Casting and Forging Company will constantly strengthen their organization in each respect to meet the productive needs.
