On Nov. 9, 2009, headed by the President Dr. Hugh Brady, the 9 delegates from the best IrishUniversity visited SZU to exchange ideas for cooperation with SZU. The President of SZU, Prof. Zhang Bigong, met with the guests at Rm.205, President Office. He gave a warm welcome to the guests and said that both sides had a good relationship which would lay good foundations for further cooperative discussions. He also suggested that the both universities build certain collaborative relations between medical schools, such as joint labs and research.
Dr. Brady said he sincerely hoped an all-round partnership could be established between the two institutions as he had brought here all the relevant vice presidents of UCD including engineering, physics, biology, medicine, and public health, etc. He also briefed medical school and school of humanities and social sciences of UCD.
The two universities signed a memo of academic exchange and collaboration after the meeting. Vice President Ruan Shuangchen, Director of International Affairs Gao Litian, also attended the signing ceremony with our foreign guests.
The UCD delegates also visited schools of mechatronics and engineering, electronic science and engineering, golf management, physics, computer science and engineering, and software engineering, to explore possibilities of collaborations.
