2010 Graduation Ceremony of Queensland College Shanghai Second Polytechnic University
On June 22nd, 2010 Session (the eighth term) Graduation Ceremony of Queensland College Shanghai Second Polytechnic University was held in room 2100 multi-purpose hall. Mr. Gray Casey, the representative of Brisbane North Institute of TAFE (BNIT) Queensland Australia & Director of customer relation department, and Professor Wang Gang, Vice President of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University attended the ceremony.
Present at the ceremony included: Director of President Office and Communication and Collaboration Office Yu Leilin, Dean of Teaching Affairs Office Mr. Lou Binchao, Dean of Students Affairs Mr. Jing Xiaofeng, Dean of Mechanics & Electronic Engineering Faculty Mr. He Yafei, Party Secretary & Vice Dean of International Exchange Faculty (Queensland College) Ms.
Yan Xun, Deputy Party Secretary Ms. Jiao Aihua, Vice Dean Mr. Lin Xuqiang, Assistant to the Dean Ms. Sun Yan, Chinese and Australian teachers, representatives of students parents, and all the graduates of the Queensland College 2010 session.
The graduation ceremony was hosted by the Dean of International Exchange Faculty (Queensland College) Mr. Meng Zhaoshang. After playing the national anthems of China and Australia, BNIT representative Mr. Gray Casey and Vice President of SSPU Mr. Wang Gang in succession made a speech to congratulate the academic achievement and honorable graduation of Queensland College students.
In light of their own insights on life, they also wished students a successful access to the society and being a useful talent. Then, the representative of college teachers Associate Professor Xu Jihong, the representative of graduates Zhu Yongyu, the representative of graduates parents Zhang Runnan (translated by his daughter Chang Li) made statements one after another, telling about the unceasing affection of teachers for students, the gratefulness of students for teachers, and parents admiration for the university.
At the ceremony, Secretary & Vice Dean Ms. Yan Xun read out the list of Outstanding Graduates of Shanghai and SSPU, who were awarded by the leaders and guests on the podium. The leaders and guests also awarded the diploma of China and Australia to the students representatives of Queensland College Business English (BE), International Business (IB), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Event Management (EM), and Hospitality Management (HM).
When the students representatives presented the flowers to the Chinese and foreign teachers, the atmosphere reached a climax. The Dean, Mr. Meng Zhaoshang, on behalf of the College, once again congratulated to the 281 graduates of Queensland College, wishing the students to cherish gratefulness, aim high, take responsibility and creates happiness, and finally he announced the end of the graduation ceremony.
