On January 20th, 2010, the Ministry of Education announced the third list of Elite Social Science Journals of Universities. The CYUPS Journal was among the winners. This is the second honorable recognition since the Best Column in Social Science nomination, which was also administered by the Ministry of Education in 2005.
The CYUPS. Journal follows up with the motto Academics necessitates creativity and creativity lies in youth . The articles in the Journal are primarily concerned about youth. The authors could look into theoretical development, take interest in empirical research. Some academic seminars are organized to promote the research in youth. The Journal emphasizes creativity, specialization and uniqueness. Over the years, the Journal has been rewarded with the wide recognition from the academic world as well as the general readership.
The Elite Journal Project aims to promote social science research and publishing of academic articles in Chinese universities and colleges. The criteria of selection are based on the quality of articles published, the structure of subjects, and the rate of readership acknowledgement. Over 1000 social science periodicals and journals published by Chinese universities are in the three-stage competition.
