The President of Singapore Academy of Fine Arts Visited NACTA

On April 14th, the president of Singapore Academy of Fine Arts Ms. Wu Biyin, the vice president Mr. Ye Minsheng, and director of the native language department Ms. Gong Huilin visited NACTA. Ms. Wang Jun, project manager of the department of International Relations had a talk with the representitives from Singapore.
During the meeting, both parties gave the basic information of their schools respectively and discusesed about the prospective cooperations in the future. Singapore Academy of Arts is the first independent and high school-equivalent Academy in Singapore. It s also the first state-run school of fine arts opened especially for the students between 13 and 18, which was established by the department of media commnication and arts in Singapore.
The school provides special courses that are both artistic and academic, aimed at nurturing a new generation of artists and other professional artists in all fileds. SAFA has also established the widespread cooperations with many prestigious schools around the world, making a path for students to participate in international exchange programs.
During this visit, President Wu expresses her sincere hope to do exchange programs concerning teaching methodology with our academy. She also welcomes our teachers and students to Singapre to teach and study Chinese Opera. Both parties believe there will be more forms of cooperations to explore in the future.
At last, the visiting group, accompanied by our President Du Changsheng, Secretary Li Shiying, and Director of International Relations Lin Yi, took part in the exhibition of the international exchange program.
