Conference about Main Body of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan Held at TUT

From August 18 to 20, the conference revolving around the orientation the Twelfth Five-Year Plan was held in the conference room of Academic Exchange Centre on Yingxi Campus. Present at the conference were TUT leadership, heads from units and departments, deans and party secretaries from colleges, academic pacemakers in all fields, and others concerned. TUT Party Secretary Yao Zhilou and President Zhang Wendong gave key speeches respectively on the Twelfth Five-Year planning .

At the meeting, all participants watched the feature program A Distinguished Road for Scientific Development in Higher Education by Professor Ji Baocheng, president of Renmin University of China, listened to the reports on talents training by Teaching Affairs Office and Graduate School, discipline construction by 211 Construction and Development Planning Office, science and technology innovation by Science and Technology Section, teachers development and personnel distribution system reform by Personnel Division, and so on. Further discussion was conducted, and many constructive suggestions were made at the meeting.

This conference marks the official launch of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan . TUT is making great efforts to collect the ideas and suggestions from teachers and students for sake of other work about the plan, so that this plan will prove to be a scientific planning that will live up to people, that will be in accord with the school situation, that will meet the need for school development, and that will meet the need for the development of Shanxi economy and the development of China.
