News Briefing for Northwest Division of the 13th CUBA

On March 13, the news briefing for Northwest Division of the 13th CUBA was held at TUT. Present at the conference were Zhang Ningfei, executive chairman of CUBA and president of Henghua Group Inc, Chen Nansheng, vice chairman and secretary-general of CUBA, Yao Zhilou, vice chairman of CUBA and party committee secretary of TUT, Lv Ming, director of the CUBA organizing committee and the Party Standing Committee member and TUT vice president, people concerned from College of Physical Education, the chief coach and captain of TUT men basketball team, and others as well. More than 20 media such as Xinhua News Agency Shanxi Branch, Shanxi Daily, Shanxi News Network, as well as CUBA campus journalists showed up at the conference.

TUT Party Committee Secretary Yao Zhilou responded to the questions concerning CUBA & campus culture, CUBA & talent training, and other relevant issues. Secretary Yao said that CUBA was not only a sports game, but more importantly was of cultural significance. Through CUBA, the construction of campus culture would be further promoted, and a good environment for the cultivation of high-quality talents would be created, and hence TUT s construction and development would be enhanced.

Lv Ming, Party Standing Committee member and TUT vice president, addressed the conference on behalf of TUT extending sincere welcome and thanks to people working for CUBA and all the basketball teams.

In addition, the chief coach of TUT men basketball team introduced the team s preparation as well as some experience and skills concerned.

Before the conclusion of the conference, journalists present at the conference raised some questions concerning the progress of the Northwest Division games, promotion of the games, propaganda work as well as TUT team s preparation and so on.

The games will be held at TUT from March 14 to March 21.
