Academician Wang Zhenyi Met with SJTU CPC Cadres

Academician Wang Zhenyi, winner of the State Preeminent Science and Technology Awards, had a talk with the young and middle-aged cadres of the ninth SJTU CPC training class and of Medical School CPC training class at Ruijin Hospital affiliated to SJTU Medical School on March 11. He made a speech entitled "How to Seize Opportunities" and talked with the cadres on dream, opportunity and success.

He elaborated that chance favors only the prepared mind from the perspective of Id, ego and super-ego with his own life experiences. He also pointed out that the key to success is to keep correcting attitudes and working hard. He gave the guidance to them that young and middle-aged cadres should establish a correct view of world and career and persevere in scientific research.

And they should face difficulties with courage and opportunities and honors with a calm mind so as to overcome the id, perfect the ego, and pursue the superego and write a brilliant chapter of life. Chen Hui, vice president of the CPC Party School of Medical School, gave a present to Academician Wang and expressed admiration on behalf of the training class.

The cadres were also organized by Ruijin Hospital to listen to a report given by the report group on Wang Zhenyi's advanced deeds and a special lecture by Yan Su, secretary of the Party Committee of Ruijin Hospital on "Hospital Brand Building and Marketing Strategies". They later visited Shanghai Institute of Hematology and the history exhibition hall of Ruijin Hospital.

This face-to-face talk with medical experts is to further stimulate the cadres' passion for teaching, scientific research, medical treatment and management. Many cadres remarked that the report given by Academician Wang was very enlightening. His wisdom, perseverance and character are admirable. They will learn from Academician Wang and endeavor to make greater contributions to SJTU.
