Outlast Technologies, the leader in temperature regulating technology, announces the launch of its Supplier Certification portal powered by TEXbase.
The Supplier Certification portal was designed to facilitate fast and easy communication between Outlast’s internal labs and supply chain partners around the globe.
“Today’s textile marketplace is largely driven by innovation and speed to market. The extent to which Outlast can improve communication and collaboration throughout our supply chain directly effects time-to-market and ultimately the purchasing decisions of our downstream customers,” says Greg Roda, Chief Operating Officer of Outlast Technologies.
“With over fifty supply chain partners around the globe and new product introductions every year, our certification process needed to be reworked.”
Outlast turned to Bozeman, Montana based TEXbase, Inc. for their software application needs. TEXbase builds and deploys web based, textile data management applications that streamline business processes, are cost-effective, easy to implement, and deliver a strong return on investment. “A focus on textile R&D and Lab Analysis, a reputation as an innovative solution provider for the textile industry, as well as customer references are why we chose TEXbase,” comments Roda.
“Our critical objectives for this system included minimizing error and missing data from mill partners and creating a seamless, paperless flow of data between mill partners and Outlast’s certification lab. We also wanted it to be scalable with a common work platform accessible 24/7, the ability to store and retrieve certifications by type (fiber, yarn, fabric, finished product, mill partner), and lastly, it had to deliver a strong ROI.”

“There were a lot of moving parts, which is just the way we like it,” comments Joe Walkuski, Founder and CEO of TEXbase. “We thrive on solving problems and delivering a strong product to the marketplace, quickly.” Walkuski worked closely with Jennifer Dolan, Certification Manager for Outlast, and Mark Hartman, Technical Director for Outlast to develop and launch a system that is now receiving rave reviews from partners for its simplicity and speed.
Dolan, the principle administrator of the application said, “What used to take 30 minutes to process can now be done in three! This time savings adds up quickly and the critical data is now at our finger tips.”
Technical Director, Mark Hartman comments, “With the addition of TEXbase to our certification process we have been able to reduce the time it takes to certify a product by over 50% which means time-to-market for commercialized product is accelerated. It also means that our lab technicians are freed up to focus on R&D.”
