India : Arvind aims complete makeover of Arrow

Arvind Brands Ltd, the 100 percent licensee of the reputed international brand Arrow, owned by US-based Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, is planning a complete makeover of the formal wear by positioning it as a complete lifestyle brand.
Arvind will now focus on women’s wear, semi-casuals as well as denim wear under Arrow brand.
The company is planning to increase number of exclusive Arrow stores to 100 within next five years by investing Rs10 crores.
Arvind plans to sell Arrow in tier II cities through its apparel discount chain Megamart. For this, they will increase the number of Megamart stores from present 54 to about 64 by end of this year investing around Rs40 crores.
According to reports from Arvind Brands, Arrow turnover in 2006-07 touched Rs150 crore and Megamart recorded Rs100 crore in during this period.
