A two-day forum organized by Italian Institute for Foreign Trade and the Industrial and Employers' Association of Lombardia Region ended in Milan City, Italy, on March 30.
Around 200 businessmen from both countries participated in this forum where Italian investors were attracted towards Vietnamese trade sectors like garment, leather shoes among others.
Giuseppe Castelli, Deputy President of the Lombardia employers association, stressed that both countries need to strengthen cooperation in trade to increase revenues. This may help in boosting economic ties between the two.
Ambassador Nguyen Van Nam revealed that Vietnam has shown strong development after WTO membership and has opened its doors for foreign investors, including those from Italy and these opportunities have been growing, after Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit by to Italy early this year.
This forum gave a chance to both countries to promote investment in some projects of mutual interest.
