Nepalese garment export to US fell by 45% In Oct

Statistics from Nepal Garment Association shows that in Oct. 2006, Nepal's garment export to the world's largest garment market USA, dropped by 45%. For the past 10 months of this year, Nepal had exported garment valued 42.41 million U.S. dollars to the United States, a decline of 6%. The same period last year was up to 44.91 million U.S. dollars.

In October, Nepal's textile products exports reached 1.42 million U.S. dollars, while it was 2.59 million U.S. dollars for the corresponding period last year.
