France encourages garment export to Russia

According to France "TEXTILE", France is actively encouraging garment exports to Russia, because Russia has become a real fashion market. Source says that Russian middle class has a rapid growth in these years. For example, the average income for Muscovite is 650-1000 euros, and 20% to 25% of the Russian are in this level.

Many researches from France reveal that Russian people spend nearly 20 billion euros on clothing and footwear consumption. In 2006, Russian spent 14 billion euros buying clothes, an increase of one third over 2005. At present, China and Turkey account for 49% share of the Russia s clothing market, the EU accounts for 39%.
