9.5% of Non-EU made apparel contain carcinogenic substances

Italian Textile Fashion claims that 9.5% of garment produced in non-EU countries and sold in the European market contains carcinogenic substance amine, as an investigation launched by the Italian Textile Fashion shows.

The conclusion is educed through sample surveys in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm clothing markets. Particularly in Frankfurt, the survey shows that 40% of the samples contain dye, 21.4% contain amine, 36% contain prohibited ingredients.
