According to Germany Machinery&Equipment Association(VDMA) Beijing Office, German manufacturers exported textile machinery and accessories totaled 3.4 billion euros last year. Among them, Germany exports 742 million euros of textile products to China, accounting for 22% of exports. However, the export ratio declines compared with previous years. German will speed up their exports of high-end textile machinery products and technology to China.
In the "2006 Beijing International Textile Machinery Exhibition" held on Oct.16, Mr. Thomas Waldmann, the VDMA s president reaffirmed the above statement. He said that China is Germany's most important market, and Germany is looking forward to playing an important role in China's textile field. He said that the declining export ratio indicates China s textile technological update makes a slight pause to some degree in 2005, but he also expected that German exports of textile machinery will be increased.
Basing on confidence in the Chinese market, Germany Machinery&Equipment Association organizes official delegations to Beijing to attend the 2006 Beijing International Textile Machinery Exhibition, displaying the latest high-tech products. It is learned that apart from German official delegations, there are more than 40 German exhibitors attending the expo, totally more than 100 German companies are participating in the exhibition, which is the largest foreign delegations.
