India TEXPROCIL welcomes government to amend textile export drawback policy. This committee is a non-profit international marketing organization instituted by India cotton yarn cloth manufacturing enterprise.
The chairman of Textile Export Promotion Committee B K Patodia said that the above measures can keep exporter's competition capability in international market as well as help government to finish export object during 2006-2007.
The drawback of cotton textile is increased from 3.5% to 4%, less than 8Rupee/kilogram; in the meanwhile, the one of dyed yarn is increased from 4% to 4.5%, less than 13.30 Rupee/kilogram.
The drawback of cotton cloth is increased from 4% to 4.7%, dyed cloth from 6% to 7.8%, less than 20.40 Rupee and 26 Rupee.
The drawback of 60 cotton yarns is increased from 5% to 6.8%, dyed yarn increased from 6% to 7.8%, no more than 20.40Rupee/kilogram, 26 Rupee/kilogram.
The export tax for commodities made of cotton is increased from 5% to 6.4%, no more than 64 Rupee/kilogram. These commodities include bedding, bathroom article, tablecloth and curtain.
