Government is seeking international joint ventures to support its ailing textile industry.
A ray of hope appeared when Chinese Ambassador, Song Aiguo, announced that collaboration with Turkey would be valuable especially in the textile sector.
Song explained that the cheap labour force of China with the closeness of Turkey to EU and brand advantages in textile would create remarkable employment opportunities.
Aiguo stated while attending the China-Turkey Economic Cooperation Facility meeting, organized by Ankara Chamber of Commerce that Chinese government adopted development as priority task 28 years ago and was able to attain the annual average growth rate of 9.6 and its gross national product rose to $2.20 trillion from $216 billion dollars.
Advicing the Turkish industrialists, Ambassador said, "Follow the Chinese Market, which will export products worth about $1 trillion in 2010."
When asked about quality of Chinese products, Aiguo said, "Products are generally of good quality in China. But production is done according to the order and they are purchased by different customer groups".
