On June.13, 2006, Argentina State Secretariat for trade & small-middle sized enterprise receive the application from Argentina shoes industry and declaim that the import of footwear products from China and South-East Asia countries increase speedy, up 74% in January-May,2006 compared with the same period. In 2005, footwear imported from China and South-East Asia reach 2million pairs, the import of 2006 will reach 3.5million at the increasing speed in January-May,2006.
It is showed that Argentina government will continue to inspect footwear import in the non-automatic license form. The countries and areas involved include China, South-East Asia, and Brazil. The president of Argentina Footwear Industry Chamber of Commerce show that textile industry have prepared to ask for special defend for China products if they can search for appropriate political chance. At present, posing anti-dumping on China footwear products is not practical because the key factor weighing anti-dumping "Price standard" of product go against Argentina industry.
