US textile trade media report that Hong Kong fashion transit trade return to rise instead of the worse achievement in February on March. However, compared with the same month in last year, the increasing rate is small. The reason for above condition is China s prosperous trade as well as the increasing export to Japan.
The transiting amount for Hong Kong fashion rebound while the one in February is worse. Compared with March in 2005, the amount is only increased by 1.5%, but condition look up because the one in February is down by 35%. The transit gross in March is 275.8billion pieces, 173.9billion pieces in February comparatively.
Transit trade is anticipated to increase continually. Hong Kong government said the big inland trade amount which account for 80% of total Hong Kong export contribute to it.
The statistic in March show that all export amount and sum in main market is mended. Economist anticipates that the increasing trend of Hong Kong transit trade will continue though China economy increasing will slow.
The export to US is decreased by 15.5% compared with last year, the rate less 42% than February.
On March, transit trade in US account for 21.1% of all Hong Kong transit trade, England accounting for 12.9%, Japan increased by 5%, over twice of February, China increased by 11.5%
On March, the average unite price paid by importer in March is $ 4.96/piece, decreased by 2.36% compared with February. The price in US market rise in small breadth, but the price in several important Europe markets such as England and France fall.
