In 2005, Pakistan cotton export is increased by 23.1%, reaching 296.7billion square meters. Pakistan is the second cotton export country, only inferior to China.

The statistic shows that in the first quarter of 2006, Pakistan cotton n export slow down. In January, Pakistan cotton export is 18.22billion square meters, decreased by 14.2%, 2.113square meters in March, decreased by 4.9%.

The cotton export in the first three months in 2006 reach 57.57billion square meters, decreased by 7.1%.

The expert think that the increasing competition pressure, especially the pressure from China contribute to the declining export of Pakistan cotton.

In this March, China cotton export has reached 0.52billion square meters.
