Institute of Textiles And Clothing in Hong Kong Polytechnic Department explore a new fabric with the function of auto-cleaning, decomposing dirt and insurant isolation which get a gold award in 34th international invention and creative technique & product exhibition; other special fiber explored with Nano anti-bacterium technique get sliver award.
Nano non-washing fiber is a fabric fiber with auto-cleaning function explored by scholar of Hong Kong Polytechnic University who take advantage of advanced Nano technique, which have characteristic of water-proof, oil-resist, smell proof and ultraviolet resistance and decompose dirt, contamination in the air and harmful microbe automatically under the s sun. The professor of Textile And Clothing Institute Qi haozhong introduce that the nano structure in lotus leaf surface make it keep clean still in sludge. Inspired from above phenomena, researcher explores non-washing fabric.
This new technique can be applied to all sorts of fabrics, Hong Kong Polytechnic University have applied for patent in China inland and US.
Besides, other special fiber fabric is waterproof and breathable and control humidity by adopting nano anti-bacteria technique get sliver award. This fabric can be used to manufacture "personal exposure suit collection" suitable to medical personnel.
