The statistic from Peru Exporter Association show that in this first quarter, with the lowest amplitude, Peru fashion export reach $24.9billion, only increased by 4.1%,
The executive director of Peru Export Promotion said that the export of Peru fashion slow even stop increasing, however, the increase rate of textile & fashion in first half year can reach 9.5%.
Peru s textile & fashion is mainly exported to US, Venezuela and German. The expert thinks that Peru fashion enterprise should adjust the strategic orientation to high income class and offer novel high value product to the class emphasizing in quality.
The expert also said that some enterprises have make change in these aspect, Peru is searching for those clients pay attention to quality rather than price. Some enterprises export the product at high price to China market, for example, some enterprises export the fashion at price $80 to China high income class. Such is a problem nearly without attention: China is a competitor as well as an important market.
Peru fashion enterprise should change its foreign-trade strategy to look on high income class in other countries including China.
