According to Vietnamese "Saigon Liberation Daily" on November 5, Tran Quoc Khanh, the vice head of Vietnam s negotiation group on accession to WTO, said that Vietnam s average tariff will be reduced from the current 17.4% to 13.4% after accession to WTO for 5-7 years.
Thereinto, tariff on agricultural products will be reduced from 23.5% to 20.9% in five years, while industrial products tariff is to be lowered to 12.6% from 16.8% in next 5-7 years.
