The exports in garment and textiles sector have fetched US$ 530 million in October 2006, trade ministry in a statement said on November 07.
The statement further informed that total export turnover of the staple in the first ten months of 2006 has accounted to US$ 4.96 billion.
However, by the end of 2006, it is being estimated that garment and textiles export to reach US$ 5.9 billion.
The industry experts said that exports to non-quota markets boosted due to many enterprises' export quotas to the US ran out in late October 2006.
