In recent years, facing the competition from Southeast Asian clothing, and many existing illegal imported clothing, Hungarian garment industry began to reduce the output, some enterprises even went bankrupt.
According to data from Hungary Central Bureau of Statistics, the textiles output reduced by 7.3% last year, the clothing s reduction was 13.8%. The national textiles sale descended by 14% in the local market, and a reduction of 5% in international market. The national garments sale descended by 15% in the local market, and a reduction of 12% in international market.
