It is reported that since January.07, the quota will not posed on Vietnam textile & garment exported to US.
The chairman of Vietnam Textile & Garment Association--Li Wendao directed that US above measure is taken according to WTO regulation and US-Vietnam trade agreement, which will offer a good trade circumstance to Vietnam enterprise.
However, Li Wendo still remind of enterprises that in Dec. 2006, US still will carry out quota measures by checking every bulk of Vietnam textile & garment.
Vietnam textile & garment export for 2006 is expected to reach 5.5billion USD, increased by 14.6% than 2005, mainly to EU and US.
