India : CMAI to organize 48th National Garment Fair, July 24-26

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is organizing the 48th National Garment Fair (NGF) from 24th July to 26th July 2007 at The Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon – East. The Fair will be inaugurated by the renowned film star, Mr. Suniel Shetty.
This is the Largest Garment Fair for the Domestic Retail Industry and this year it will be bigger & better than ever before. This is the perfect forum for Retailers, Vendors & Brands to interact with each other.
It will provide a platform for Brands & Companies to unveil their latest Collections, to be seen in advance, before they will be launched in Stores in September-October, 2007.
For the first time, the National Garment Fair will be spread over 25,000 sq. Metres in two Halls- Hall I & V of Bombay Exhibition Centre. More than 250 Companies representing more than 400 Brands will display their Collections.
Well known Fashion Designer Tarun Tahilani will also be showcasing his haute creations for the first time in the fair. More than 18,000 Visitors are expected in this Fair, as the Fair is restricted for Garment Dealers only.
For the first time, the National Garment Fair will host 6 Ramp Shows (Fashion Shows). There will be two shows per day for consecutive 3 days.
The 48th NGF will present a host of innovations this year. The newly created Franchising Zone with a prime location in Hall I will help to connect prospective Franchises with established National & International Brands.

Exhibitors from this section are eligible to showcase their collections via the Ramp Shows at NGF. The leading players who will be a part of the Franchising Zone this year will include Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England, Notting Hill, Hues, Tibre, 109 F, Siyaram MSD, Oxemberg, Classic Polo, Smash, Richlook, Tessuti etc.
The NGF will also feature its usual popular segments. Well-established Brands across all product categories will exhibit in the Power Brands Zone, which is strategically located in Hall I between the Franchising Zone and the Brand Avenue.
The Brand Avenue is a premium area for upcoming Brands. Brand Wagon is a more economical area to exhibit within the Brand Avenue zone, for Smaller Producers, Private Label Suppliers and Regional Brands.
Man’s World located in the Mass Merchandising Section will host a comprehensive display of Men’s Wear products, from Classics and Casuals to Sportswear and Accessories.
Bold and Beautiful, the Women’s Wear Zone covering the entire range from Westerns to Ethnic Wear to Accessories and the Little Kingdom will be exhibited in Hall V of the Fair.
For the first time Garment Retailers can now become members of CMAI and their enrolment will commence at this Fair.
CMAI will be organising a Regional Garment Fair at Delhi in the month of December 2007.
