After a phenomenal response in Dubai, Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) announces model auditions on Aug 9th, 2007 at NCPA, Mumbai.
India’s premier fashion event calls upon aspiring models to walk the catwalk to get selected for the LFW Spring Summer, scheduled for this October 13th to 17th.
The auditions are part of LFW's initiatives to create a platform for new talent in the fashion industry.
Panelists include India’s eminent designers like Narendra Kumar, Neeta Lulla and Vikram Phadnis, renowned show directors Marc Robinson, Anu Ahuja and Lubna Adams.
This season began with LFW organizing model auditions in Dubai, where the team selected 7 new faces to walk the LFW runway.
In the past, LFW has seen models from England, Sweden, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Brazil, Czech Republic walk successfully on the LFW runway.
Last season saw over 50 models from various agencies across the country participating at the model auditions.
With model auditions in India and Middle- East, LFW aims to give due recognition, to the talent in the region which has so far been untapped.
These model auditions aim to ensure that each of these girls gets a chance to experience the phenomenon that is LFW.
