Vivienne Tam has partnered with Stardoll to launch her first virtual online boutique. Stardoll is the world's largest online entertainment destination for girls ages 9-17; Stardoll users can purchase virtual versions of Vivienne Tam's designs in exchange for Stardoll dollars and use them to dress up their own personal avatars. Tam said "I teamed up with Stardoll because it is an exciting way to reach out to and communicate with millions of fashion-minded girls; the site provides a new, exciting environment for young girls to channel their inspirations
and express themselves with fashion."
Vivienne Tam has established a joint venture with Ports Design Limited to expand the Vivienne Tam business in the People's Republic of China. On June 27th Alfred Chan, managing director of Ports Design, told a press briefing that the joint venture will open 12 Vivienne Tam shops in the next 12 months. Its target is to have 100-150 shops in four or five years.
Vivienne Tam designs nine dresses featuring Mickey and Minnie patterns for a red carpet event at Hong Kong Disneyland to commemorate Chinese Year of the Mouse.
