The Thai Nguyen Garment JSC has reportedly reaped US $4.5 million by exporting textile and garment products in the first month of 2009 and thereby posted a year – on – year growth of 94 percent.
Its key export market of the US accounted for 60 percent of all shipments in January and the rest of the exports were shared by other countries like Italy, Mexico, Hong Kong, Canada, Brazil and Russia.
In 2008, the company’s exports turnover reached $42 million, rising by 78 percent over that of 2007 and it has set an ambitious target of fetching $60 million in shipments in 2009, an increase of 43 percent over that of 2008.
