It was long legs and beautiful bodies as far as the eye could see for the official model castings for Gold Coast Fashion Week 2009.
Over 260 applicants lined up from early morning outside Division Model Management headquarters in Bundall, for their chance at a week long modelling contract. Models came from a variety of agencies Australia wide.
The models were judged by a panel of six industry figures; Kirsten Mitchell, Olivia Cowden, Eve Connelly, Jason Purton, and Phillip Pearce. The models were judged on four prominent qualities; their walk, appearance, attitude & professionalism. Jason Purton (Gold Coast Fashion Week event Manager) said that ther were looking for models with the confidence, ability and look that would make them stand out in a crowd.
Out of the 260+ applicants 12 females and 8 males were selected. The models will show off their talents at Gold Coast Fashion Week which will be held from the 13th – 17th of May at a variety of locations on the Gold Coast. The event is a trade and public event that showcases Australian designers whose collections are summer and swimwear focused.
