Low-riding jeans are back in mode with a fresh look and attitude. The oracle of jeans fashion, the Levi’s brand, raises the X factor on “low” this season with ‘square cut’ jeans that sit just off the hips, defining a style that is cool, confident and sexy.
“Wearing your jeans off the hips is the ‘new low’. However, you also want jeans worn low to stay where they should. We have Levi’s jeans cut with a square top that starts below the waist and holds it snugly. Get a pair in your actual size if you like your jean to fit just right, or go one size up for a more relaxed look,” said Agnes Tann, strategic brand planning director, the Levi’s brand.
The appeal of the Levi’s square cut jeans goes beyond its sensible and comfortable design, to its overall look. The interplay of bold stitches and contrast color sundries against clean aesthetics give a distinct youthful personality. Optic elements including the coin pocket, back pockets, Two Horse patch, waist button and rivets have been customised for the jean enhancing its uniqueness.
The jeans comes in a variety of fits including the must-have slim tapered for guys, and slim and bootcut for ladies. Complete the look with check tops, which are also on-trend this season. Guys can also pair the jeans with a polo knit for an understated cool look, and ladies can opt for volume tops to dial up the trendy factor.
Levi’s square cut jeans from the fall 2009 collection are available in the stores in Asia from July.
