Possessing a design philosophy that portrays understated luxury and glamour, designer duo Kapil and Monika Arora began their journey by establishing a fashion retail store in New Delhi, with the eventuality of their own fashion label ''Kapil & Monika''.
Crafting consistent designs and rendering each silhouette with extremely fine quality, the duo have reason to present their new bridal couture and indo-western collection in grand style at the Kolkatta Couture Week starting 10th - 13th September.
Currently retailing out of the fashion store Kimaya, Kapil and Monika have dressed the whose who of tinsel town, right from Karisma Kapoor, Diana Hayden, Mahie Gill to Prachi desai. No wonder then that the enterprising designers have built themselves loyal clientele based out of Mumbai, New Delhi, Dubai, London and Canada.
For Kapil& Monika, femininity forms the essence of their label with styles that suggest elegance and modernity, along with strong emphasis on fabric, cut & colour.
The designer's collection comprises of richly embellished lehengas, sarees, cocktail gowns and tunics in a medley of pinks, beige, mauve, reds, black, blues and whites. Most outfits are easy to drape, with fabrics ranging extensively from velvet, brocade and chandelier net, creating an absolutely mesmerizing effect. Embroideries in contemporary patterns and embellishments in Swarvoskis and stones lend the garments a magnetic, alluring feel.
