Tata Steel, NMDC ink MoU for mutual benefits

Tata Steel today announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Mining Development Corporation (NMDC).
The MoU is aimed to explore the possibility of acquisition, exploration and development of mines, extraction and processing of minerals, setting up integrated steel plants and other businesses of mutual interest.
NMDC, owned by government of India explores a number of minerals like iron ore, bentonite, copper, magnesite, rock phosphate, diamond, limestone, tin, dolomite, tungsten, gypsum and graphite. Since its inception NMDC has been a leading producer and exporter of iron ore.
