In January 2010, Turkey exported 148,851 tons of chrome ore (up 52.64 percent year on year), of which 122,957.12 tons were exported to China, while in the same period in 2009 amounted to 70,490.37 tons, including 62,068.51 tons shipped to China. From the data point of view, Turkey chrome ore exports to China surged greatly in January 2010.
